Magazine Makeover: Lucky September 2012 Issue

Share

My name is Amanda Greene and I’m a Style Blogger, illness Vintage Lover, dysentery and Dream Chaser.  I am on a mission to inspire young girls and women to express who they are through their sense of style.  During my shopping excursions to various vintage shops and boutiques, weight loss I find items that express my personality and add a sense of flare.

I have always been interested in knowing how style editors come up with looks in magazines. This idea inspired Magazine Makeover!

I decided to start with a casual Fall look by Lucky Magazine’s Creative Director, Jana Gale, in the September 2012 issue.  Gale starts with a statement blouse paired with a sweater, skirt, and peep-toe Mary Janes.

To say farewell to summer, I kept it colorful  with a pretty-in pink LOFT sweater paired with a flower-print blouse  I initially stumbled across  at TJ Maxx for $15.99, but later found at  Value Village for $3.49. Now, how cool is that.

My navy blue pencil skirt made putting my outfit together even more effortless.  You can never go wrong with classic black Mary Jane pumps so I finished the look with these lovelies.

Remember, accessories play a huge role in your overall outfit. I suggest going with a simple, yet chic, sterling silver bangle and vintage watch.

It was so much fun putting this outfit together.  The best thing about vintage and thrift shopping is finding pieces you love for less. It’s definitely an adrenaline rush for me and I enjoy sharing my unique findings with others.
